Magic Gold: toughest gold scratch in the world by Hublot




One of the biggest risks when wearing an accessory in gold, is that of scratching, which may very well mark the wear of the parts we care about most.

For this, Jean-Claude Biver, Hublot CEO, considered one of the houses of Haute Horlogerie most famous in the world, presented in conjunction with Professor dell'EFPL, Andreas Mortensen, the new Magic Gold.



It is, in short, a new type of gold, considered the world's first to boast the feature scratch.

To pure liquid is added a percentage of boron carbide powder, a ceramic among the most resistant, allowing for the classification of 18-karat gold, as it contains the 750 per thousand of gold, and removing the problem of scratches greatly increasing the hardness.

Apparently, the Magic Gold immediately take shape with the new creations of watchmakers Hublot home.
